The engine continuously gathers public first-person reports — 858 documents across YouTube comments, web reviews and forums.
2 · Detect
A semantic pain-detection pass scores each document against failure concepts, then a precision gate separates genuine personal problems from how-to noise.
3 · Classify
Each confirmed report is labelled with its failure mode. 77 survived as genuine first-person failures. Research-only sources are excluded from published statistics.

What breaks most often on coffee machines?
In our study of 77 confirmed first-person failure reports, the machine simply stopping or breaking down is the most common failure (25%), followed by clogging/jamming (19%) and leaking (12%). Together these three explain 56% of traceable failures.

We collect public first-person reports from YouTube comments, web reviews and forums. A semantic detector scores each document against failure concepts, and a precision gate keeps only genuine personal problems — 77 reports survived.
How do I know the numbers are real?
Every statistic links to a source report. We publish no invented numbers: a devil's-advocate pass tries to disprove each finding before it ships, and research-only sources are excluded from what you see.
